No one wins alone.
ABOUT JEFF
I'm an artist first—a sculptor of people and achievement.
Through this lens I approach all that I do with the precision of the surgeon and the creativity and intuition of the artist. Time and again my experience has shown me that they elegantly lend their paradoxical qualities to each other.
Over the course of my life and career I have had a diverse set of experiences and accomplishments. As a result I have a unique vantage point with which to become “Mission Control” for high performing individuals. This distinction enables me to analyze circumstances and challenges from a different point of view, allowing me to see the path to achievement where others may not.

From LA to Munich...
When I was 11 years old I made a commitment to a dream of going to the 1972 Olympics as a cyclist. I drew a contract with myself to keep me in that presence of mind and heart.
Against the odds of circumstance I made that dream come true.
As an Olympic athlete it is you against you at the highest level. I trained my body like a gladiator and my mind like a mathematician—to this day I still possess that mindset and relationship with my body.
45 years later I still ride 10 to 12 hours a week. Cycling to me is an essential daily nutrient. There’s something about slow time… you ride into the zone and stay there.

Embracing The Power of Artistry...
When I was 18 and training for the Olympics I met a man named John Burton who would change the course of my life. He was a true Renaissance man. The right person for me at the right time.
Not only had he been a WWI correspondent, a poet, an actor, and an Emmy Award winning filmmaker, he had developed a unique style of glassblowing. Through a synchronistic chain of events he chose me to be his protege.
Aside from being my mentor he became like a father to me in many ways. He would read me poetry and we’d listen to classical music. I would work in his orchid garden while he shared the work of the great philosophers—expanding my mind and my world.

He revealed the other side of me—the heart and soul of me.
One day I was having an especially rough day—feeling overwhelmed by the circumstances of coming from this dysfunctional welfare family, and under immense pressure—I felt like I didn’t know where to turn for direction.
John turned to me and said, “If you want a helping hand you have one at each arm”, and walked out of the room. He cared enough about me not intervene and rob me of the opportunity to figure it out on my own.
He taught me the power of creative expression. What it was to be in flow. To find the infinite possibility of the present moment.
I learned how to take something normally rigid yet fragile and shape it into a thing of grace and beauty.
That glasswork ended up in some of the finest galleries in New York City.

A New Kind of Tour...
"Love you Dad."
"Love you too."
The Olympics is easy compared to raising a daughter.
I have always stood subservient to possibility. Receptive to embracing a higher calling because I trust with every ounce of conviction that the better option is the next one coming.
In this case, at the age of 58, it was our daughter, Kin. She was 10 and born into the gritty streets and social jungle of Colombia.
The sheer effort and commitment required to make the Olympics doesn’t hold a candle to what it takes to raise a daughter.
Kin calls my wife and me to a higher game

Coming Home...
An hour’s ride from my home, there is a gritty part of LA that is literally blocks and blocks of stunning graffiti.
There is self taught genius being expressed everywhere I look. So raw. So gritty. So vibrant.
No veneer. Just the Real.
Here I don’t feel imposed upon by the outside world.
There’s something rugged and honest about the railroad tracks and riding my bike across broken glass.
Surrounded by a sense of danger and artistic genius. I feel at home here. I feel free.
Over the last forty years, I’ve had the privilege to coach, mentor, and advise some of our generation’s greatest achievers.
From Tiger Woods to U2, Bulletproof to Nike, each of my clients has benefited from the culmination of my life’s experiences.
What I’ve discovered is that success doesn’t come from will, talent, or tactics. The winners know something everyone else doesn’t. What they’ve discovered is that success is both a path and a process.
I am now Cornerman to leaders of industry, world class athletes and iconic performers. I work behind the scenes developing these world class achievers into superstars in their field.
What could you accomplish with
your own Cornerman?
I specialize in getting high achievers to the top of their game and making sure they stay there.
